CelPlan Technologies to provide a surveillance system to Police in Long Beach, CA
January 4th, 2007 - The Police Department of the City of Long Beach, CA selected CelPlan Technologies to provide a surveillance system for the City’s main commercial avenue (Pine Avenue).
The system transmits continuous video streams from 17 high resolution cameras at 4 CIF to a monitoring center using 10 MHz channels at the police's 4.9 GHz band (4.94 to 4.90 GHz). The cameras were placed at traffic lights and light poles along Pine Avenue, providing video surveillance over more than 2 miles of streets in the down town area.
