CelPlan Technologies announces new Advanced Generation of Network Planning and Optimization software.

October 1, 2008 - CelPlan Technologies, a leading provider of world-class wireless network design and optimization software, today announces its new Advanced Generation of Network Planning and Optimization software with the 9.2 version of industry renowned CelPlanner™ Suite. The new 9.2 CelPlanner™ Suite release proclaims CelPlan’s new Data-Centric emphasis in order to provide 4G operators with the ultimate solutions for deploying advanced broadband data networks.

New to the 9.2 CelPlanner™ Suite release is the support of relational databases for full Enterprise configuration and implementation. In addition, changes to the architecture now allows for up to 8X calculation speed improvements through the optimized distribution of tasks on multi-core computers.

The already comprehensively supported WiMAX technology has been augmented with new support for Adaptive Antenna Steering (AAS) as well as the ability to assign multiple service mix applications on individual customer terminals for a more accurate traffic simulation of the true network performance.

Lastly, the new 9.2 CelPlanner™ Suite now includes advanced Ray-Tracing propagation modelling support from AWE Communications and WaveCall S.A. This extends CelPlanner™’s already comprehensive propagation model library and allows for the modelling of the most demanding RF propagation scenarios.
