- Codes used in IS-95 and CDMA-2000: maximum length
sequences, orthogonal and turbo codes;
- Spread spectrum systems characteristics:
- Codes correlation;
- Processing gain;
- Rake receivers used in IS-95 and in CDMA-2000;
- Power control (downlink, uplink) in IS-95
and in CDMA-2000;
- Handoff: classifications and occurrences in
2G and 3G;
- Description of IS-95 and CDMA-2000 logical channels;
- Modulations used in CDMA IS-95 and CDMA-2000 systems;
- Description of channels used in IS-95 and in CDMA-2000;
- Basic schemes of call processing involving voice
and data;
- Comparison between TDMA IS-136, AMPS, CDMA IS-95,
and CDMA-2000 systems;
