  • TDMA IS-136 standard characteristics:
    • Frames and time slots structure;
    • Strategies used for temporal alignment;
    • Digital control channels and search methods;
    • Digital channel processing and modulation;
  • Call processing example;
  • Handoff on analog channels and on digital traffic channels - MAHO;
  • Cells hierarchy: control channels re-selection procedures;
  • Mobile terminals authentication procedure;
  • TDMA systems planning techniques;
  • Comparison between cellular systems: TDMA, CDMA, GSM, and AMPS.
