CellWireless SM is spectrum monitoring equipment used by spectrum regulators to verify compliance with spectrum licensing. It has Centralized Controller (CC) and Remote Unit (RU).
Allows monitoring of spectrum usage from 20 MHz to 18 GHz. The equipment can capture up to 40 MHz of spectrum at a time, digitize and process it. The captured spectrum is time and place stamped.
The information collected can be used to locate unauthorized transmitters through triangulation using TDOA (time difference of arrival). This triangulation requires at least three pieces of equipment and gives an approximate approximation of the transmitter’s location, which needs to be refined using other techniques not supported by the transmitter, such as AoA.
Location accuracy ranges from a hundred meters to a thousand meters, depending on the relative position of the monitoring stations and transmitter.
CellWireless RU equipment is fully integrated into a single unit and can be remotely controlled from a Centralized Controller.
