Technology Training: LTE Systems
Target Audience
This class is a must for everyone involved with the new generation of wireless communications.
Pre-Requisite
Wireless Communications Overview and Fundamentals or equivalent knowledge.
Goals
LTE is based in advanced technological breakthroughs not present in traditional technologies. Even the basic telecommunication theory had to be revised, as a much more in-depth understanding of the concepts involved is required. Many new concepts, such as OFDMA, MIMO and SON were developed as part of the technological evolution. LTE is a data-centric technology which requires many new parameters for defining the market, user traffic and demand. This class aims to introduce these new concepts and provide students with a thorough understanding of the technology.
